This year’s holiday season will officially begin on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in downtown Kerrville with an expanded day of festivities. Kerrville Christmas Lighting Corporation (KCLC) has a brand-new “Merry on the Square” pre-lighting celebration in store, which will begin at 5 p.m. around the courthouse square, featuring special themed entertainment, food trucks, shopping vendors, children's Christmas crafts, and holiday surprises to set the stage for the evening’s events.
At 6 p.m., the Annual Holiday Lighted Parade, presented by the City of Kerrville, will kick off! The parade route begins at the G Street Bridge and Water Street, travels westbound on Water Street, turns onto Earl Garrett Street, and ends at the Kerr County Courthouse.
As the parade concludes, the Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters brass band will welcome guests across the courthouse square, creating a joyful atmosphere to kick off the lighting ceremony. The community will then gather for the official lighting of the courthouse and the debut of Kerrville’s brand-new 50-foot Christmas tree, ensuring that Kerrville proudly maintains its title as home to the tallest tree in the Texas Hill Country.
The courthouse will be professionally lit for the second year in a row, and the new tree will sparkle with nearly 37,000 warm white LED lights, a taller riser and star topper, and upgraded power for improved performance and reliability. Downtown will also be decorated with 140 street ornaments, which were part of KCLC community fundraising campaigns in 2020 and 2023, creating a festive illuminated corridor that welcomes both locals and visitors.
The evening will also feature musical performances, a visit from Santa Claus, and the announcement of this year’s parade winners. Confirmed vendors so far include Mac N Wagon and BBQUE TEXAS, with more to be announced as applications are finalized.
