Merry on the Square Event

 This year's holiday season officially begins on Saturday, November 21, 2026, in downtown Kerrville with an expanded day of festive fun. The Kerrville Christmas Lighting Corporation (KCLC) will once again present Merry on the Square, beginning at 4 p.m. around the Kerr County Courthouse. The celebration will feature live entertainment, food trucks, shopping vendors, children's Christmas crafts, meet-and-greets with beloved holiday characters, and festive surprises to kick off the holiday season.

At 6 p.m., the Annual Holiday Lighted Parade, presented by the City of Kerrville, will step off from the G Street Bridge and Water Street. The parade will travel westbound on Water Street, turn onto Earl Garrett Street, and conclude at the Kerr County Courthouse.

Following the parade, the community will gather around the courthouse square for the lighting of the courthouse and KCLC's spectacular 50-foot Christmas tree, the tallest Christmas tree in the Texas Hill Country.

The courthouse will be professionally illuminated for the third consecutive year, while the 50-foot tree will sparkle with nearly 37,000 warm white LED lights. Downtown Kerrville will also shine with 140 illuminated street ornaments, funded through KCLC community campaigns in 2020 and 2023, creating a festive holiday corridor for residents and visitors alike.

The evening will also feature musical performances, a visit from Santa Claus, and the announcement of this year's parade winners.
